University of Maryland’s iSchool is Trace Center’s New Home
As of August 2016, the Trace Center is now a part of the College of Information Studies at the University of Maryland in College Park. Trace Center Director Gregg Vanderheiden explained: “The Trace Center and the iSchool are a natural fit, with both deeply interested in human-computer interface, with interaction, including a special interest in policy, aging, and disability. The goal of making information accessible and usable for the individual is in their DNA, so I am excited about the possibilities for continuing and evolving the Trace Center into the future here at University of Maryland, College Park.” The location of the university in the Washington, DC area will also make it easier to work with consumer and industry groups and government agencies.
